Article II of the by-laws states that Honorary memberships may be created by the association in such cases and upon such terms as the association shall, at any regular meeting, prescribe.

Honorary (Life) members are typically individuals who have made significant contributions to the Southside Virginia Volunteer Firefighter's Association during their fire service career.
SVVFA currently has one (1) Life Member.
